Citigate Dewe Rogerson hosts a roundtable on the subject of m-commerce and the future or retail
Georgia Hanias, Director in Citigate Dewe Rogerson’s technology and start-up practise, recently hosted a roundtable with Tech City News on the subject of mobile commerce and the future of retail.
The ubiquity of the smartphone has changed the way people interact with stores and how they buy goods, with nearly four in 10 visits to retail websites made via a mobile device. Britain has the biggest m-commerce market in Europe with a predicted spend of almost £8 billion in 2014 but only 12% of retailers have an m-commerce strategy in place.
The roundtable brought together influential figures from the finance, business and tech start-up sector to ascertain why so many British companies were failing to tap into this market and to provide shoppers with a successful mobile retail experience.
The findings of the roundtable are outlined in our report, which can be accessed here. For more information on our technology and start-up practise, Georgia can be reached at georgia.hanias @citigatedr.co.uk.
