Citigate Dewe Rogerson handles Pixium Vision’s IPO
Citigate Dewe Rogerson advised on the successful IPO of Pixium Vision on Euronext Paris which completed on 17 June raising €34.5 million.
Mark Swallow and David Dible from Citigate’s Life Sciences team in London and Lucie Larguier, Laurence Bault and Gwenola de Chaunac in Paris worked on the deal.
Pixium Vision, which is based in Paris, France, is developing medical technologies for restoring the vision of blind patients who have lost their sight as a result of retinal diseases. Its ‘Vision Restoration Systems’ comprise miniature implants placed inside the eye designed to replace the damaged retina, an innovative camera integrated into a pair of glasses that captures moving images in the same way as the eye, and a handheld computer with software that converts this image data into electrical signals that can be interpreted by the brain to recreate ‘vision’.
The Company’s first product, IRIS®, is in development with the aim of being commercialised in 2015.
