Citigate announces Hyacinth Chu as a Director in its New York office, IR advisory service for alternatives

Citigate Dewe Rogerson, the leading international financial and corporate communications consultancy, has announced both the appointment of Hyacinth Chu as Director in its New York office and an IR advisory service for alternative investment managers.

Prior to joining Citigate, Hyacinth was Director of Marketing and Investor Relations for two hedge funds, Alpha4x Asset Management, which employed a discretionary global macro strategy, and Serendiv Capital, which managed an event driven and equities strategy.

Hyacinth was also a Managing Director at Atrato Advisors, an investment consultant specialized in hedge fund research and custom portfolio construction. Prior to that, Hyacinth was a Director in Prime Brokerage Sales at UBS.  She began her career at Morgan Stanley where she spent ten years with her last roles as a Vice President in Prime Brokerage Sales and Client Service working closely with the cap intro and business consulting teams.

Patrick Donovan, Managing Director of Citigate Dewe Rogerson commented, “Hyacinth is a major hire for our New York office. She gives us the capacity to represent alternative investment managers from the huge American market globally and also to represent hedge fund and private equity managers from Europe and Asia in the US. She will be working with alternative investment managers both on their communications and also in a strategic advisory role for investor relations, a role that is perfect for her experience.”

Christen Thomson, Senior Director and head of hedge funds at Citigate, said, “Having someone who has such extensive experience in hedge fund IR will be an enormous asset for our global hedge fund practice. With our extensive international network of offices we are well placed to support firms that prioritise how they are perceived by investors and the market.”
