AIB IPO
Citigate Dewe Rogerson provided strategic communications advice to the Department of Finance in Ireland on the privatisation of Allied Irish Banks (AIB), Ireland’s largest bank. The Irish Government sold approximately 25% of the shares in AIB – 99.9% of which had been owned by the Irish State’s Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) – through an IPO of the bank, with listings on both the London and Dublin Stock Exchanges. It was the largest IPO in Europe to date in 2017 and one of the largest UK Main Market IPOs of the last 20 years.
Andrew Hey and Grant Ringshaw led the team out of London, with support from Toby Moore, David Westover and Nick Hayns.
